Behind the Brand with Aloha Modern
Aloha Modern was founded by Malia Ka'aihue and Reyn Mukawa over pau hana drinks and the desire to tell the real, deep, relevant stories of Hawaii in fun vibrant ways! Since 2015, Aloha Modern has been finding new ways to represent the ocean and all that is has to offer. For those at the brand, the ocean remains a place of refuge and ultimately inspired a lifestyle of aloha-flair.

The designs of Aloha Modern from its beach towels to bed sheets are inspired by the stars, ocean, and landscapes from a true island-rooted perspective. Though started as a passion project, Aloha Modern was soon able to blossom into the full business it is today while staying close to their coastal-inspired roots.
