5 Fall Beach Activities | Beachly Tips

The end of Summer doesn't mean it's the end of beach season and California dreamin'. Here at Beachly, we like to make every day a beach day - and that doesn't change when the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to fall. Whether you live by the coast or are planning a little seaside getaway, autumn beach days are some of the best! The tourists and crowds have left and there's a whole lotta beach waiting for you to explore. Here's the Beachly guide to Fall Beach Activities.

1. Get your exercise on beach-side

If you're lucky enough to live near the coast, my favorite time of year for a beach walk, jog, or run is Fall. It still stays light out a bit later than the cold Winter months - but the crowds from Summer have left, the sun isn't quite as scorching, and you'll have close to the entire beach to yourself.

One of my favorite things about exercising at the beach is getting my toes in the sand and listening to the sound of the waves crashing along the shore. It's invigorating and grounding all at once. And as of late, my go-to beach workout style has been this two piece set from the Beachly Boutique! This boutique hoodie and matching joggers has laidback Fall vibes written all over it.

2. Play some beach games

If you haven't played games on the sand when the weather cools off, then you're definitely missing out! Beach volleyball, spike ball, and frisbee are just as fun in the Fall as they are during hot Summer months. If you're looking for a full beach day, you can start the afternoon with some games and ease into the night with a relaxing, cozy beach bonfire.

3. Have a beach bonfire

Beach bonfires are fun all year long, but there's something extra cozy about bundling up fireside in the Fall. Let's be real, a warm fire, cozy blankets, and good friends are some of our all-time favorite things. When you have a beach bonfire in the Fall, you can relax by the fire, reminisce on your favorite Summertime memories, and sip on something festive like a spiced apple cider or hot chocolate. Does it get much better than that? If you really want to get into it, you can bring some marshmallows for s'mores. Yum!

P.S. Don't forget to take care of any bonfire permit paperwork, practice fire safety, and leave the beach even better than you found it.

4. Have a beach picnic

Cooler temperatures call for cozying up and packing your Vera Bradley cooler from the Beachly Summer box for a beach picnic. When the waters too cold, you can still enjoy the seaside vibes all bundled up! We love to pack up a picnic and invite our friends to join - but sometimes, we like to splurge a little and treat ourselves to something extra special with our friends at the Beach Genie.

The Beach Genie

The Beachly team was so excited to experience the magical, seaside experience that the Beach Genie creates. We enjoyed a charcuterie board, festive sips, games, and you guessed it - a bonfire just in time for the sunset!
